JSL STAINLESS share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 738.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,344.8 (up 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Jindal Steel (down 0.6%) and JSW Steel (down 0.4%).

Hindustan Zinc (up 3.5%) and NMDC (up 2.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, JSL STAINLESS has moved up from Rs 372.3 to Rs 738.9, registering a gain of Rs 366.6 (up 98.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,671.1 to 32,344.8, registering a gain of 49.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 123.5%), NMDC (up 117.1%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 96.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (down 2.6%) and Bharti Airtel (down 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,831.2 . Titan and Bharti Airtel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,355.7 to 81,328.5, registering a gain of 14,972.8 points (up 22.6%).

JSL STAINLESS Financial Update...

JSL STAINLESS net profit fell 26.0% YoY to Rs 5,006 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 6,766 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.2% to Rs 94,540 million during the period as against Rs 97,651 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, JSL STAINLESS reported 33.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 20,838 million compared to net profit of Rs 31,094 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 9.1% to Rs 356,970 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JSL STAINLESS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.0.
