JSL STAINLESS Gains 7%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.8%

JSL STAINLESS share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 782.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,969.1 (up 1.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are JSW Steel (up 3.7%) and Coal India (up 2.6%).

SAIL (down 0.7%) and Vedanta (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, JSL STAINLESS has moved up from Rs 488.7 to Rs 782.1, registering a gain of Rs 293.4 (up 60.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,270.6 to 31,969.1, registering a gain of 37.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 89.9%), Coal India (up 74.5%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 57.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,643.4 (up 1.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 5.4%) and ICICI Bank (up 5.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ICICI Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,822.6 (up 1.6%). M&M and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,596.8 to 84,643.4, registering a gain of 17,046.6 points (up 25.2%).

JSL STAINLESS Financial Update...

JSL STAINLESS net profit fell 8.2% YoY to Rs 6,475 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 7,050 million a year ago. Net sales declined 7.4% to Rs 94,298 million during the period as against Rs 101,840 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, JSL STAINLESS reported 29.3% increase in net profit to Rs 26,935 million compared to net profit of Rs 20,838 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 8.0% to Rs 385,625 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JSL STAINLESS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.9.
