JAI CORP Gains 8%; BSE METAL Index Up 0.4%

JAI CORP share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 384.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,090.1 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are SAIL (up 1.3%) and NMDC (up 1.1%).

APOLLO TUBES (down 0.9%) and JSW Steel (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, JAI CORP has moved up from Rs 203.9 to Rs 384.2, registering a gain of Rs 180.3 (up 88.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,980.9 to 32,090.1, registering a gain of 39.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 95.0%), Coal India (up 74.4%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 60.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,743.4 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 1.7%) and M&M (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,891.9 (up 0.4%). ONGC and BPCL are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,800.8 to 84,743.4, registering a gain of 17,942.6 points (up 26.9%).

JAI CORP Financial Update...

JAI CORP net profit grew 133.8% YoY to Rs 138 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 59 million a year ago. Net sales rose 4.6% to Rs 1,209 million during the period as against Rs 1,156 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, JAI CORP reported 489.9% increase in net profit to Rs 529 million compared to net loss of Rs 136 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 22.1% to Rs 4,631 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JAI CORP, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 109.7.
