JAI CORP Gains 17%; BSE METAL Index Up 0.4%

JAI CORP share price has zoomed 17% and is presently trading at Rs 347.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 30,323.3 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are APOLLO TUBES (up 3.7%) and NMDC (up 2.4%).

JSW Steel (down 2.8%) is among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, JAI CORP has moved up from Rs 316.5 to Rs 347.6, registering a gain of Rs 31.1 (up 9.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,780.3 to 30,323.3, registering a gain of 27.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 85.4%), Hindustan Zinc (up 63.7%) and Jindal Steel (up 34.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 4.1%) and SBI (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,180.2 (up 1.1%). ONGC and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,930.8 to 79,914.7, registering a gain of 13,984.0 points (up 21.2%).

JAI CORP Financial Update...

JAI CORP net profit grew 44.6% YoY to Rs 172 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 119 million a year ago. Net sales rose 14.8% to Rs 1,354 million during the period as against Rs 1,179 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, JAI CORP reported 489.9% increase in net profit to Rs 529 million compared to net loss of Rs 136 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 22.1% to Rs 4,631 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JAI CORP, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 90.0.
