Indraprastha Gas Plunges 2%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 1.4%

Indraprastha Gas share price has plunged 2% and is presently trading at Rs 472.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 29,186.6 (down 1.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are HPCL (down 2.2%) and GUJARAT GAS (down 2.2%).

Over the last one year, Indraprastha Gas has moved up from Rs 469.4 to Rs 472.6, registering a gain of Rs 3.2 (up 0.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,341.4 to 29,186.6, registering a gain of 59.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were GAIL (up 103.7%), HPCL (up 88.1%) and IOC (up 79.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,225.6 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (down 2.9%) and L&T (down 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,490.1 (down 0.3%). Titan and LTIMINDTREE are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,228.5 to 77,225.6, registering a gain of 13,997.1 points (up 22.1%).

Indraprastha Gas Financial Update...

Indraprastha Gas net profit grew 6.7% YoY to Rs 3,518 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,298 million a year ago. Net sales declined 2.3% to Rs 39,644 million during the period as against Rs 40,564 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Indraprastha Gas reported 9.1% increase in net profit to Rs 16,397 million compared to net profit of Rs 15,023 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 83.0% to Rs 126,887 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Indraprastha Gas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.1.
