Indraprastha Gas Gains 4%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 0.9%

Indraprastha Gas share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 422.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 27,329.9 (down 0.9%).

IOC (down 2.5%) and GAIL (down 1.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Indraprastha Gas has moved up from Rs 399.4 to Rs 422.8, registering a gain of Rs 23.5 (up 5.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,128.5 to 27,329.9, registering a gain of 50.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 133.0%), BPCL (up 81.6%) and GAIL (up 69.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,634.6 (down 0.5%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 2.8%) and Bharti Airtel (down 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,209.6 (down 0.5%). Bajaj Auto and Cipla are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,634.6, registering a gain of 15,585.6 points (up 24.3%).

Indraprastha Gas Financial Update...

Indraprastha Gas net profit fell 21.4% YoY to Rs 3,637 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,625 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.0% to Rs 40,884 million during the period as against Rs 38,225 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Indraprastha Gas reported 21.0% increase in net profit to Rs 19,834 million compared to net profit of Rs 16,397 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.0% to Rs 125,435 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Indraprastha Gas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.7.
