Il&FS Engineering Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.3%

Il&FS Engineering share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 46.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,743.2 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Phoenix Mill (up 3.9%) and SUNTECK REALTY (up 1.3%).

PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 2.8%) and Godrej Properties (down 1.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Il&FS Engineering has moved up from Rs 23.5 to Rs 46.2, registering a gain of Rs 22.7 (up 96.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,604.3 to 7,743.2, registering a gain of 68.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 123.2%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 111.4%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 91.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,897.7 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 3.7%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,287.7 (down 0.2%). Tata Motors and IOC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,897.7, registering a gain of 15,848.6 points (up 24.7%).

Il&FS Engineering Financial Update...

Il&FS Engineering net profit grew 80.5% YoY to Rs -31 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 157 million a year ago. Net sales rose 55.8% to Rs 855 million during the period as against Rs 549 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Il&FS Engineering reported 37.4% increase in net profit to Rs -776 million compared to net loss of Rs 1,240 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 46.0% to Rs 2,585 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Il&FS Engineering, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -9.3.
