IRB Infra Plunges 4%; BSE REALTY Index Down 4.3%

IRB Infra share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 61.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,753.5 (down 4.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Phoenix Mill (down 8.3%) and Sobha (down 5.2%).

Over the last one year, IRB Infra has moved up from Rs 25.3 to Rs 61.9, registering a gain of Rs 36.6 (up 144.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,455.6 to 7,753.5, registering a gain of 74.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 183.0%), Sobha (up 178.8%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 96.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,511.8 (down 1.8%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 4.2%) and JSW Steel (down 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,271.9 (down 1.8%). Tata Motors and Hindalco are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,459.3 to 79,511.8, registering a gain of 13,052.5 points (up 19.6%).

IRB Infra Financial Update...

IRB Infra net profit grew 94.2% YoY to Rs 3,242 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,669 million a year ago. Net sales rose 27.2% to Rs 20,612 million during the period as against Rs 16,200 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, IRB Infra reported 99.2% increase in net profit to Rs 7,200 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,614 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 10.3% to Rs 64,016 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of IRB Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 40.6.
