Hindustan Unilever share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 2,699.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,958.0 (up 1.0%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are HATSUN AGRO PRODUCTS (up 5.0%) and Tata Coffee (up 3.6%).

Godfrey Phillips (down 4.3%) and GODREJ AGROVET (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Hindustan Unilever has moved up from Rs 2,676.8 to Rs 2,699.2, registering a gain of Rs 22.4 (up 0.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 19,118.7 to 21,958.0, registering a gain of 14.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 175.9%), JYOTHY LABS (up 111.1%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 100.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,765.1 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bharti Airtel (up 1.9%) and Asian Paints (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ICICI Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,628.3 (up 0.2%). Coal India and BPCL are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,393.9 to 80,765.1, registering a gain of 15,371.2 points (up 23.5%).

Hindustan Unilever Financial Update...

Hindustan Unilever net profit fell 1.6% YoY to Rs 25,610 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 26,020 million a year ago. Net sales declined 0.0% to Rs 152,100 million during the period as against Rs 152,150 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Hindustan Unilever reported 1.4% increase in net profit to Rs 102,820 million compared to net profit of Rs 101,430 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 2.2% to Rs 618,960 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Hindustan Unilever, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 61.7.
