Hind.Oil Exp Gains 4%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 0.5%

Hind.Oil Exp share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 244.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 30,670.3 (down 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are GUJARAT GAS (up 1.6%) and ONGC (up 1.6%).

HPCL (down 3.2%) and BPCL (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Hind.Oil Exp has moved up from Rs 167.8 to Rs 244.4, registering a gain of Rs 76.6 (up 45.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,778.0 to 30,670.3, registering a gain of 63.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 137.2%), BPCL (up 100.0%) and GAIL (up 90.1%).

The BSE Sensex is at 82,382.1 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (down 1.6%) and NTPC (down 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Axis Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,213.7 (down 0.1%). BPCL and IOC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 82,382.1, registering a gain of 16,870.0 points (up 25.8%).

Hind.Oil Exp Financial Update...

Hind.Oil Exp net profit fell 36.1% YoY to Rs 419 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 656 million a year ago. Net sales declined 18.8% to Rs 1,362 million during the period as against Rs 1,676 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Hind.Oil Exp reported 16.7% increase in net profit to Rs 2,264 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,940 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 34.0% to Rs 7,491 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Hind.Oil Exp, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 15.9.
