HPL ELECTRIC & POWER share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 448.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 65,579.5 (down 1.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are GRINDWELL NORTON (down 3.4%) and GMR Infra (down 3.2%).

Thermax (up 1.1%) and Honeywell Automation (up 0.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER has moved up from Rs 188.7 to Rs 448.1, registering a gain of Rs 259.4 (up 137.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 45,605.4 to 65,579.5, registering a gain of 43.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 127.9%), Bharat Electronics (up 105.6%) and Siemens (up 97.3%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,542.3 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 2.8%) and SBI (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,257.1 (up 0.3%). Shriram Transport and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,542.3, registering a gain of 15,493.2 points (up 24.2%).

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER Financial Update...

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER net profit grew 145.5% YoY to Rs 170 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 69 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.5% to Rs 3,929 million during the period as against Rs 3,207 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER reported 44.2% increase in net profit to Rs 436 million compared to net profit of Rs 302 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.7% to Rs 14,609 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HPL ELECTRIC & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 53.6.
