HPCL share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 407.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 30,167.7 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are IOC (up 1.5%) and BPCL (up 1.3%).

Indraprastha Gas (down 4.4%) and ONGC (down 2.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HPCL has moved up from Rs 167.8 to Rs 407.7, registering a gain of Rs 239.8 (up 142.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,580.4 to 30,167.7, registering a gain of 62.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 142.9%), BPCL (up 101.2%) and GAIL (up 87.8%).

HPCL Financial Update...

HPCL net profit fell 95.9% YoY to Rs 2,459 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 60,658 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 1,209,433 million during the period as against Rs 1,191,623 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HPCL reported 329.4% increase in net profit to Rs 160,146 million compared to net loss of Rs 69,802 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 2.2% to Rs 4,057,439 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HPCL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.3.
