HITACHI ENERGY share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 11,224.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,198.9 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (down 4.9%) and Thermax (down 0.9%).

BHEL (up 1.6%) and INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (up 1.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HITACHI ENERGY has moved up from Rs 4,022.6 to Rs 11,224.6, registering a gain of Rs 7,202.0 (up 179.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,264.8 to 8,198.9, registering a gain of 92.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 194.4%), TORRENT POWER (up 167.9%) and ADANI POWER (up 160.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,156.7 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 2.1%) and JSW Steel (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,155.9 (up 0.4%). Tech Mahindra and Grasim Industries are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,782.8 to 79,156.7, registering a gain of 13,373.9 points (up 20.3%).

HITACHI ENERGY Financial Update...

HITACHI ENERGY net profit grew 332.4% YoY to Rs 104 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 24 million a year ago. Net sales rose 27.6% to Rs 13,272 million during the period as against Rs 10,401 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HITACHI ENERGY reported 74.4% increase in net profit to Rs 1,638 million compared to net profit of Rs 939 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.2% to Rs 52,375 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HITACHI ENERGY, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 276.9.
