HITACHI ENERGY Gains 6%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.0%

HITACHI ENERGY share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 12,050.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,900.6 (up 1.0%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (up 3.1%) and TORRENT POWER (up 3.0%).

Thermax (down 1.0%) and KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HITACHI ENERGY has moved up from Rs 4,128.8 to Rs 12,050.0, registering a gain of Rs 7,921.2 (up 191.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,049.2 to 7,900.6, registering a gain of 95.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 215.4%), ADANI POWER (up 193.9%) and TORRENT POWER (up 154.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,005.1 (down 0.5%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (down 2.3%) and Axis Bank (down 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,379.9 (down 0.4%). Axis Bank and Bajaj Finance are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,384.8 to 80,005.1, registering a gain of 13,620.3 points (up 20.5%).

HITACHI ENERGY Financial Update...

HITACHI ENERGY net profit grew 123.7% YoY to Rs 1,137 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 508 million a year ago. Net sales rose 27.1% to Rs 16,953 million during the period as against Rs 13,340 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HITACHI ENERGY reported 74.4% increase in net profit to Rs 1,638 million compared to net profit of Rs 939 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.2% to Rs 52,375 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HITACHI ENERGY, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 311.8.
