HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 303.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 30,817.3 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (down 2.4%) and NMDC (down 1.9%).

Vedanta (up 0.8%) and Hindalco (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 152.9 to Rs 303.2, registering a gain of Rs 150.3 (up 98.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,481.0 to 30,817.3, registering a gain of 43.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 124.0%), NMDC (up 85.9%) and Vedanta (up 82.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,034.7 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 2.3%) and HCl Tech. (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,140.9 . APOLLO HOSPITALS and TCS are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,401.9 to 79,034.7, registering a gain of 13,632.8 points (up 20.8%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 139.8% YoY to Rs 1,134 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 473 million a year ago. Net sales rose 33.1% to Rs 4,936 million during the period as against Rs 3,709 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 21.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,953 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,741 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.9% to Rs 16,773 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 81.0.
