HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 285.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,337.5 (up 1.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (up 3.9%) and Vedanta (up 3.2%).

Coal India (down 3.1%) and APOLLO TUBES (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 141.2 to Rs 285.5, registering a gain of Rs 144.4 (up 102.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,460.5 to 31,337.5, registering a gain of 39.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 116.7%), Hindustan Zinc (up 75.3%) and Hindalco (up 50.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,213.5 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 3.3%) and M&M (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,379.8 (up 0.8%). Shriram Transport and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 80,213.5, registering a gain of 16,164.4 points (up 25.2%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 139.8% YoY to Rs 1,134 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 473 million a year ago. Net sales rose 33.1% to Rs 4,936 million during the period as against Rs 3,709 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 0.1% increase in net profit to Rs 2,957 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,953 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 2.4% to Rs 17,170 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 76.3.
