HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 322.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,814.5 (up 0.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (up 2.2%) and Tata Steel (up 1.4%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 1.0%) and APOLLO TUBES are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 120.0 to Rs 322.8, registering a gain of Rs 202.8 (up 169.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,248.5 to 31,814.5, registering a gain of 49.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 116.2%), NMDC (up 109.7%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 97.7%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 3.3%) and Reliance Ind. (down 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,514.6 (down 0.1%). Wipro and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,795.1 to 80,557.1, registering a gain of 13,762.0 points (up 20.6%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit fell 5.6% YoY to Rs 1,248 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,322 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.0% to Rs 5,654 million during the period as against Rs 5,598 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 21.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,953 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,741 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.9% to Rs 16,773 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 105.5.
