HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 312.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,328.9 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (up 1.2%) and Jindal Steel (up 0.7%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 0.5%) and Vedanta (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 151.9 to Rs 312.0, registering a gain of Rs 160.1 (up 105.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,923.7 to 31,328.9, registering a gain of 42.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 124.6%), NMDC (up 106.3%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 90.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,622.2 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are HDFC Bank (down 2.3%) and Asian Paints (down 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,330.5 (down 0.1%). HDFC Bank and Divis Laboratories are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,995.8 to 79,622.2, registering a gain of 13,626.4 points (up 20.6%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 139.8% YoY to Rs 1,134 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 473 million a year ago. Net sales rose 33.1% to Rs 4,936 million during the period as against Rs 3,709 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 21.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,953 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,741 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.9% to Rs 16,773 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 83.4.
