HEG Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.2%

HEG share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 431.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,496.0 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 10.0%) and Lakshmi Machine (up 2.7%).

ABB (down 1.4%) and L&T (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HEG has moved up from Rs 313.0 to Rs 431.4, registering a gain of Rs 118.3 (up 37.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,868.6 to 70,496.0, registering a gain of 44.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 117.4%), Siemens (up 107.1%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 96.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,537.5 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Infosys (down 2.8%) and M&M (down 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ and Axis Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,107.2 (down 0.7%). Infosys and Tech Mahindra are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 79,537.5, registering a gain of 13,363.3 points (up 20.2%).

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit grew 1.2% YoY to Rs 619 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 612 million a year ago. Net sales declined 7.6% to Rs 5,676 million during the period as against Rs 6,142 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HEG reported 41.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 3,117 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,324 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 2.9% to Rs 23,949 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 61.2.
