HCC Plunges 3%; BSE REALTY Index Up 2.1%

HCC share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 47.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,916.6 (up 2.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today is MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (down 2.1%).

Brigade Enterprises (up 5.7%) and Godrej Properties (up 4.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HCC has moved up from Rs 18.8 to Rs 47.4, registering a gain of Rs 28.6 (up 152.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,392.3 to 7,916.6, registering a gain of 80.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 201.5%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 188.6%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 107.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,291.1 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are JSW Steel (up 3.0%) and HCl Tech. (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,216.9 (up 0.7%). JSW Steel and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,782.8 to 79,291.1, registering a gain of 13,508.3 points (up 20.5%).

HCC Financial Update...

HCC net profit fell 140.0% YoY to Rs -159 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 397 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.7% to Rs 18,160 million during the period as against Rs 19,265 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HCC reported 104.7% decrease in net profit to Rs -266 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,717 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.6% to Rs 98,566 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 18.4.
