HCC Gains 6%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.8%

HCC share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 52.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,799.1 (down 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (up 2.4%) and Phoenix Mill (up 0.8%).

INDIABULLS REAL EST (down 1.8%) and Brigade Enterprises (down 1.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HCC has moved up from Rs 17.7 to Rs 52.6, registering a gain of Rs 35.0 (up 198.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,117.2 to 8,799.1, registering a gain of 113.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 286.8%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 251.5%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 160.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,489.1 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 1.4%) and M&M (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,600.3 (up 0.3%). Hindalco and Ultratech Cement are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,523.2 to 77,489.1, registering a gain of 13,966.0 points (up 22.0%).

HCC Financial Update...

HCC net profit grew 14.3% YoY to Rs 2,274 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,990 million a year ago. Net sales declined 26.9% to Rs 17,731 million during the period as against Rs 24,263 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HCC reported 104.7% decrease in net profit to Rs -266 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,717 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.6% to Rs 98,566 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.8.
