HCC Gains 4%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.4%

HCC share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 43.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,556.9 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Godrej Properties (up 1.3%) and DLF (up 0.8%).

Phoenix Mill (down 3.5%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HCC has moved up from Rs 26.7 to Rs 43.6, registering a gain of Rs 16.9 (up 63.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,609.9 to 8,556.9, registering a gain of 85.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 200.3%), Sobha (up 186.0%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 141.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,490.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 3.8%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,810.9 (down 1.4%). Hero Motocorp and Reliance Ind. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,118.7 to 84,490.5, registering a gain of 18,371.8 points (up 27.8%).

HCC Financial Update...

HCC net profit fell 140.0% YoY to Rs -159 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 397 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.7% to Rs 18,160 million during the period as against Rs 19,265 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, HCC reported 1108.2% increase in net profit to Rs 5,294 million compared to net loss of Rs 525 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 15.3% to Rs 70,067 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 16.9.
