Guj. State Petronet Plunges 4%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 2.0%

Guj. State Petronet share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 408.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 29,887.8 (down 2.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are ONGC (down 3.1%) and GUJARAT GAS (down 3.0%).

Over the last one year, Guj. State Petronet has moved up from Rs 284.9 to Rs 408.1, registering a gain of Rs 123.2 (up 43.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,778.0 to 29,887.8, registering a gain of 59.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 134.3%), BPCL (up 97.1%) and IOC (up 83.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (up 1.7%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,972.4 (down 0.2%). MUNDRA PORT & SEZ and ONGC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 81,726.4, registering a gain of 16,214.3 points (up 24.8%).

Guj. State Petronet Financial Update...

Guj. State Petronet net profit grew 21.9% YoY to Rs 5,415 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,441 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.1% to Rs 48,915 million during the period as against Rs 42,505 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Guj. State Petronet reported 6.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 21,837 million compared to net profit of Rs 23,420 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 5.0% to Rs 166,921 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Guj. State Petronet, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.1.
