Graphite India share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 538.5.
Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,141.6 (down 0.5%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Lakshmi Machine (up 2.7%) and AIA Engineering (up 2.0%).
ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 5.9%) and SKF India (down 1.7%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, Graphite India has moved up from Rs 434.6 to Rs 538.5, registering a gain of Rs 103.9 (up 23.9%).
On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,202.8 to 72,141.6, registering a gain of 67.0% during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 204.6%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 149.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 132.4%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,467.9 (down 0.3%).
The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 2.8%) and Power Grid Corp. (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,268.7 (down 0.4%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,846.5 to 79,467.9, registering a gain of 13,621.4 points (up 20.7%).
Graphite India net profit grew 886.7% YoY to Rs 2,360 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 300 million a year ago. Net sales declined 2.5% to Rs 7,280 million during the period as against Rs 7,470 million in April-June 2023.
For the year ended March 2024, Graphite India reported 304.3% increase in net profit to Rs 8,048 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,991 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 7.3% to Rs 29,497 million during FY24.
The current Price to earnings ratio of Graphite India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.8.
