Godrej Consumer share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 1,450.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 22,562.0 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are Ruchi Soya Industries (down 1.2%) and Emami (down 1.1%).

CCL PRODUCTS (up 4.3%) and Tata Coffee (up 3.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Godrej Consumer has moved up from Rs 1,030.5 to Rs 1,450.6, registering a gain of Rs 420.1 (up 40.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,781.3 to 22,562.0, registering a gain of 20.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were BOM.BURMAH (up 109.7%), Godfrey Phillips (up 102.4%) and Colgate (up 73.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,199.0 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are JSW Steel (down 1.6%) and Infosys (down 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Nestle.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,230.3 (down 0.3%). Shriram Transport and Infosys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,199.0, registering a gain of 13,245.5 points (up 20.1%).

Godrej Consumer Financial Update...

Godrej Consumer net profit grew 41.4% YoY to Rs 4,507 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,188 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.4% to Rs 33,316 million during the period as against Rs 34,489 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Godrej Consumer reported 132.9% decrease in net profit to Rs -5,606 million compared to net profit of Rs 17,025 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.9% to Rs 140,961 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Godrej Consumer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -346.1.
