Godrej Consumer share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 1,442.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 23,543.5 (down 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are Emami (down 4.7%) and Hindustan Unilever (down 2.4%).

KRBL (up 5.8%) and Godfrey Phillips (up 5.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Godrej Consumer has moved up from Rs 1,012.0 to Rs 1,442.0, registering a gain of Rs 430.0 (up 42.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,798.8 to 23,543.5, registering a gain of 25.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 277.4%), BOM.BURMAH (up 134.2%) and Colgate (up 84.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 83,041.0 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are JSW Steel (up 2.1%) and NTPC (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,401.0 (up 0.2%). JSW Steel and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,221.1 to 83,041.0, registering a gain of 15,819.9 points (up 23.5%).

Godrej Consumer Financial Update...

Godrej Consumer net profit grew 41.4% YoY to Rs 4,507 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,188 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.4% to Rs 33,316 million during the period as against Rs 34,489 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Godrej Consumer reported 132.9% decrease in net profit to Rs -5,606 million compared to net profit of Rs 17,025 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.9% to Rs 140,961 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Godrej Consumer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -344.1.
