GMR POWER & URBAN share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 139.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,540.4 (down 1.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (down 3.2%) and Finolex Cables (down 2.9%).

Over the last one year, GMR POWER & URBAN has moved up from Rs 34.2 to Rs 139.6, registering a gain of Rs 105.4 (up 308.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,209.1 to 69,540.4, registering a gain of 44.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 115.7%), Siemens (up 102.5%) and BHEL (up 101.2%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,930.9 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (up 2.1%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,077.8 (up 0.3%). ITC and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 81,930.9, registering a gain of 16,418.8 points (up 25.1%).

GMR POWER & URBAN Financial Update...

GMR POWER & URBAN net profit grew 740.1% YoY to Rs 13,498 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 2,109 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.4% to Rs 16,119 million during the period as against Rs 11,242 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, GMR POWER & URBAN reported 109.5% decrease in net profit to Rs -1,112 million compared to net profit of Rs 11,710 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 18.6% to Rs 44,890 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GMR POWER & URBAN, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 6.2.
