Esab India share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 6,509.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,509.8 (down 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SCHAEFFLER INDIA (up 1.7%) and SKF India (up 1.3%).

Finolex Cables (down 1.8%) and TIMKEN INDIA (down 1.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Esab India has moved up from Rs 4,047.5 to Rs 6,509.3, registering a gain of Rs 2,461.8 (up 60.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,563.3 to 72,509.8, registering a gain of 83.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 255.9%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 182.7%) and Bharat Electronics (up 150.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,739.7 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 3.2%) and JSW Steel (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and M&M.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,889.3 (up 0.1%). Ultratech Cement and Grasim Industries are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,739.7, registering a gain of 15,769.7 points (up 25.0%).

Esab India Financial Update...

Esab India net profit grew 5.7% YoY to Rs 443 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 419 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.0% to Rs 3,409 million during the period as against Rs 3,017 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Esab India reported 60.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,357 million compared to net profit of Rs 843 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.6% to Rs 11,044 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Esab India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 61.5.
