Esab India Gains 2%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.6%

Esab India share price has zoomed 2% and is presently trading at Rs 6,367.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,533.0 (down 2.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today is V GUARD IND. (up 2.3%).

Bharat Forge (down 4.7%) and Thermax (down 3.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Esab India has moved up from Rs 4,852.1 to Rs 6,367.3, registering a gain of Rs 1,515.3 (up 31.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,869.5 to 71,533.0, registering a gain of 63.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 179.8%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 138.5%) and Bharat Electronics (up 127.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,500.1 (down 1.8%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 4.3%) and Tech Mahindra (down 3.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,283.5 (down 1.8%). Tata Motors and ONGC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,459.3 to 79,500.1, registering a gain of 13,040.8 points (up 19.6%).

Esab India Financial Update...

Esab India net profit grew 5.7% YoY to Rs 443 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 419 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.0% to Rs 3,409 million during the period as against Rs 3,017 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Esab India reported 20.1% increase in net profit to Rs 1,630 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,357 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 14.0% to Rs 12,594 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Esab India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 60.1.
