Engineers India Gains 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.4%

Engineers India share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 246.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,811.0 (up 1.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SCHAEFFLER INDIA (up 4.5%) and GMR Infra (up 4.4%).

ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 1.6%) and Finolex Cables (down 1.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Engineers India has moved up from Rs 113.2 to Rs 246.3, registering a gain of Rs 133.1 (up 117.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 38,798.4 to 69,811.0, registering a gain of 79.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 250.6%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 178.4%) and Bharat Electronics (up 143.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,456.6 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 1.3%) and Asian Paints (down 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,261.8 . ONGC and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,143.0 to 76,456.6, registering a gain of 13,313.6 points (up 21.1%).

Engineers India Financial Update...

Engineers India net profit fell 42.9% YoY to Rs 896 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,569 million a year ago. Net sales declined 8.5% to Rs 8,051 million during the period as against Rs 8,801 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Engineers India reported 0.4% increase in net profit to Rs 3,442 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,429 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 14.3% to Rs 33,282 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Engineers India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 38.4.
