Engineers India Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.2%

Engineers India share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 183.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 68,602.9 (down 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are GMR Infra (up 2.4%) and Graphite India (up 1.5%).

BHEL (down 2.2%) and Thermax (down 1.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Engineers India has moved up from Rs 127.2 to Rs 183.6, registering a gain of Rs 56.5 (up 44.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 46,119.3 to 68,602.9, registering a gain of 48.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 130.6%), Siemens (up 110.4%) and ABB (up 105.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,411.1 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (up 5.2%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,587.0 (up 0.5%). Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Auto are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 80,411.1, registering a gain of 15,839.2 points (up 24.5%).

Engineers India Financial Update...

Engineers India net profit fell 49.4% YoY to Rs 589 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,164 million a year ago. Net sales declined 23.8% to Rs 6,238 million during the period as against Rs 8,183 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Engineers India reported 4.6% increase in net profit to Rs 3,602 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,442 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.4% to Rs 32,822 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Engineers India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 34.1.
