EPC INDUSTRIES Plunges 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.7%

EPC INDUSTRIES share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 162.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,790.2 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SKF India (down 2.4%) and Honeywell Automation (down 2.2%).

HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 6.4%) and GMR Infra (up 4.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, EPC INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 103.1 to Rs 162.9, registering a gain of Rs 59.8 (up 58.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,514.1 to 73,790.2, registering a gain of 86.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 259.4%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 203.9%) and Bharat Electronics (up 160.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,301.1 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.1%) and Wipro (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Power Grid Corp..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,562.3 (up 0.4%). Shriram Transport and Power Grid Corp. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,143.2 to 77,301.1, registering a gain of 14,158.0 points (up 22.4%).

EPC INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

EPC INDUSTRIES net profit fell 45.5% YoY to Rs 16 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 29 million a year ago. Net sales rose 0.3% to Rs 712 million during the period as against Rs 710 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, EPC INDUSTRIES reported 55.6% decrease in net profit to Rs -123 million compared to net loss of Rs 79 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 0.7% to Rs 2,104 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of EPC INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 211.7.
