ELPRO INTER Plunges 9%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.4%

ELPRO INTER share price has plunged 9% and is presently trading at Rs 119.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 68,593.8 (down 2.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Graphite India (down 5.9%) and GMR Infra (down 5.2%).

Over the last one year, ELPRO INTER has moved up from Rs 80.1 to Rs 119.0, registering a gain of Rs 38.9 (up 48.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,209.1 to 68,593.8, registering a gain of 42.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 113.1%), Siemens (up 98.2%) and BHEL (up 95.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,137.6 (down 0.7%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (down 4.1%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Axis Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,793.9 (down 0.9%). NTPC and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 81,137.6, registering a gain of 15,625.5 points (up 23.9%).

ELPRO INTER Financial Update...

ELPRO INTER net profit grew 144.0% YoY to Rs 475 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 195 million a year ago. Net sales rose 170.5% to Rs 1,393 million during the period as against Rs 515 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, ELPRO INTER reported 95.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 479 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,567 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 70.0% to Rs 1,231 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ELPRO INTER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.8.
