ELPRO INTER Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.5%

ELPRO INTER share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 141.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,480.7 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Finolex Cables (up 1.7%) and Siemens (up 1.2%).

V GUARD IND. (down 0.7%) and SKF India (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ELPRO INTER has moved up from Rs 78.6 to Rs 141.9, registering a gain of Rs 63.2 (up 80.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,225.6 to 73,480.7, registering a gain of 55.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 130.9%), BHEL (up 121.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 108.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,491.2 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 3.2%) and M&M (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,810.9 (down 1.4%). Hero Motocorp and Reliance Ind. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,118.7 to 84,491.2, registering a gain of 18,372.5 points (up 27.8%).

ELPRO INTER Financial Update...

ELPRO INTER net profit grew 144.0% YoY to Rs 475 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 195 million a year ago. Net sales rose 170.5% to Rs 1,393 million during the period as against Rs 515 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, ELPRO INTER reported 95.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 479 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,567 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 70.0% to Rs 1,231 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ELPRO INTER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.2.
