DLF Plunges 4%; BSE REALTY Index Down 3.2%

DLF share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 793.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,658.5 (down 3.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Brigade Enterprises (down 6.1%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 4.2%).

Over the last one year, DLF has moved up from Rs 563.5 to Rs 793.2, registering a gain of Rs 229.7 (up 40.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,776.6 to 7,658.5, registering a gain of 60.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 125.4%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 108.4%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 91.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,469.4 (down 1.7%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finserv (down 3.9%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,905.7 (down 1.6%). Hero Motocorp and Bajaj Auto are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,874.9 to 78,469.4, registering a gain of 14,594.5 points (up 22.8%).

DLF Financial Update...

DLF net profit grew 196.6% YoY to Rs 10,434 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,518 million a year ago. Net sales rose 46.5% to Rs 19,750 million during the period as against Rs 13,477 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, DLF reported 48.1% increase in net profit to Rs 16,304 million compared to net profit of Rs 11,009 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 12.9% to Rs 64,270 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DLF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 82.2.
