Carborundum Universal share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,465.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,684.7 (up 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SKF India (up 2.0%) and AIA Engineering (up 1.9%).

Thermax (down 1.0%) and Bharat Forge (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Carborundum Universal has moved up from Rs 1,170.8 to Rs 1,465.0, registering a gain of Rs 294.2 (up 25.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,793.2 to 69,684.7, registering a gain of 42.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Siemens (up 108.6%), Bharat Electronics (up 107.5%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 104.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,406.3 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (up 1.1%) and HDFC Bank (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,310.4 (up 0.4%). Infosys and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.2 to 80,406.3, registering a gain of 14,383.1 points (up 21.8%).

Carborundum Universal Financial Update...

Carborundum Universal net profit grew 13.1% YoY to Rs 1,048 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 927 million a year ago. Net sales rose 6.8% to Rs 12,241 million during the period as against Rs 11,463 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Carborundum Universal reported 7.8% increase in net profit to Rs 4,762 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,417 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 1.0% to Rs 47,022 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Carborundum Universal, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 63.4.
