CSB BANK Gains 4%; BSE BANKEX Index Down 0.0%

CSB BANK share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 390.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX index is at 59,830.3 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE BANKEX index today are HDFC Bank (up 0.8%) and AU SMALL FINANCE BANK (up 0.3%).

ICICI Bank (down 0.6%) and Axis Bank (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CSB BANK has moved up from Rs 280.2 to Rs 390.3, registering a gain of Rs 110.1 (up 39.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX index has moved up from 50,107.1 to 59,830.3, registering a gain of 19.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX index stocks during this same period were SBI (up 48.1%), Federal Bank (up 45.2%) and Bank of Baroda (up 42.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,613.8 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HCl Tech. (up 1.1%) and TCS (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,144.9 . ONGC and Wipro are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,915.4 to 79,613.8, registering a gain of 15,698.3 points (up 24.6%).

CSB BANK Financial Update...

CSB BANK net profit fell 3.1% YoY to Rs 1,515 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,563 million a year ago. Net sales rose 24.9% to Rs 7,949 million during the period as against Rs 6,365 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, CSB BANK reported 19.4% increase in net profit to Rs 5,474 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,585 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 23,197 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CSB BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 11.9.
