CG Power & Industrial Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.2%

CG Power & Industrial share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 707.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,371.2 (up 1.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Lakshmi Machine (up 2.9%) and Bharat Forge (up 2.1%).

TIMKEN INDIA (down 3.7%) and Carborundum Universal (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 404.7 to Rs 707.8, registering a gain of Rs 303.1 (up 74.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,182.8 to 72,371.2, registering a gain of 67.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 213.1%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 151.2%) and Bharat Electronics (up 134.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,712.1 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 2.9%) and JSW Steel (up 2.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,371.1 (up 1.1%). Eicher Motor and Grasim Industries are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,712.1, registering a gain of 13,758.6 points (up 20.9%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit grew 22.4% YoY to Rs 2,412 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,971 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.9% to Rs 22,275 million during the period as against Rs 18,740 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 118.2.
