CG Power & Industrial share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 731.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,083.0 (up 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are TIMKEN INDIA (up 3.8%) and V GUARD IND. (up 2.4%).

GRINDWELL NORTON (down 0.5%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 376.7 to Rs 731.0, registering a gain of Rs 354.4 (up 94.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,945.7 to 73,083.0, registering a gain of 83.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 241.1%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 183.8%) and Bharat Electronics (up 155.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,513.4 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HDFC Bank (up 1.0%) and Ultratech Cement (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,578.6 (up 0.2%). HDFC Bank and Hindalco are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,523.2 to 77,513.4, registering a gain of 13,990.2 points (up 22.0%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit fell 10.1% YoY to Rs 2,338 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,600 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.2% to Rs 21,917 million during the period as against Rs 19,028 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, CG Power & Industrial reported 26.5% increase in net profit to Rs 7,963 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,296 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 27.2% to Rs 69,725 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 128.2.
