CG Power & Industrial Gains 3%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.1%

CG Power & Industrial share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 685.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,516.4 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SKF India (up 2.7%) and Thermax (up 2.6%).

BHEL (down 1.7%) and L&T (down 1.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 450.4 to Rs 685.5, registering a gain of Rs 235.1 (up 52.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,746.4 to 71,516.4, registering a gain of 49.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 126.1%), Bharat Electronics (up 99.4%) and BHEL (up 85.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,616.3 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 5.5%) and L&T (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,936.2 (down 0.4%). Tata Motors and ONGC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,127.1 to 81,616.3, registering a gain of 14,489.3 points (up 21.6%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit grew 22.4% YoY to Rs 2,412 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,971 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.9% to Rs 22,275 million during the period as against Rs 18,740 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 114.5.
