Bank of Maharashtra Gains 4%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 2.1%

Bank of Maharashtra share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 51.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX index is at 59,610.7 (up 2.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE BANKEX index today are Federal Bank (up 8.3%) and SBI (up 4.2%).

Indusind Bank (down 2.0%) and AU SMALL FINANCE BANK (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Bank of Maharashtra has moved up from Rs 41.5 to Rs 51.6, registering a gain of Rs 10.1 (up 24.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX index has moved up from 48,173.3 to 59,610.7, registering a gain of 23.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX index stocks during this same period were SBI (up 48.4%), ICICI Bank (up 45.5%) and Federal Bank (up 41.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,332.4 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 4.2%) and ICICI Bank (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,452.0 (up 0.5%). Bharat Electronics and SBI are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 80,332.4, registering a gain of 16,283.4 points (up 25.4%).

Bank of Maharashtra Financial Update...

Bank of Maharashtra net profit grew 44.3% YoY to Rs 13,271 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 9,198 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.7% to Rs 60,174 million during the period as against Rs 50,680 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Bank of Maharashtra reported 56.3% increase in net profit to Rs 40,718 million compared to net profit of Rs 26,050 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 28.9% to Rs 204,948 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Bank of Maharashtra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.1.
