BHEL Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.3%

BHEL share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 243.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,522.5 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Electronics (up 2.3%) and Siemens (up 2.0%).

AIA Engineering (down 1.6%) and TIMKEN INDIA (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BHEL has moved up from Rs 130.0 to Rs 243.6, registering a gain of Rs 113.6 (up 87.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,002.7 to 69,522.5, registering a gain of 47.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 124.4%), Bharat Electronics (up 112.7%) and Siemens (up 110.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,028.2 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Infosys (up 3.1%) and HCl Tech. (up 3.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,401.2 (up 0.8%). Trent and HCl Tech. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,958.7 to 80,028.2, registering a gain of 15,069.5 points (up 23.2%).

BHEL Financial Update...

BHEL net profit grew 219.4% YoY to Rs 895 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 750 million a year ago. Net sales rose 28.5% to Rs 65,841 million during the period as against Rs 51,253 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, BHEL reported 56.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,822 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,541 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 1.6% to Rs 201,068 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BHEL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 502.4.
