BF UTILITIES Plunges 6%; BSE POWER Index Down 1.6%

BF UTILITIES share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 967.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,219.1 (down 1.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 4.8%) and NHPC (down 3.3%).

Over the last one year, BF UTILITIES has moved up from Rs 626.3 to Rs 967.2, registering a gain of Rs 341.0 (up 54.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,621.4 to 8,219.1, registering a gain of 77.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 148.3%), Siemens (up 102.0%) and BHEL (up 99.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,883.0 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (up 1.8%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,020.7 . ITC and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 81,883.0, registering a gain of 16,370.9 points (up 25.0%).

BF UTILITIES Financial Update...

BF UTILITIES net profit fell 71.1% YoY to Rs 175 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 606 million a year ago. Net sales declined 97.9% to Rs 55 million during the period as against Rs 2,632 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, BF UTILITIES reported 175.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2,567 million compared to net profit of Rs 931 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 47.9% to Rs 7,591 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BF UTILITIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.2.
