BF UTILITIES Plunges 6%; BSE POWER Index Down 1.0%

BF UTILITIES share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,007.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,317.4 (down 1.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are BHEL (down 4.7%) and Siemens (down 2.9%).

Power Grid Corp. (up 1.0%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, BF UTILITIES has moved up from Rs 645.5 to Rs 1,007.3, registering a gain of Rs 361.8 (up 56.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,542.5 to 8,317.4, registering a gain of 83.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 164.4%), Siemens (up 115.2%) and ABB (up 103.9%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,753.8 (down 0.9%). Bajaj Auto and Shriram Transport are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,166.9 to 81,003.6, registering a gain of 14,836.7 points (up 22.4%).

BF UTILITIES Financial Update...

BF UTILITIES net profit fell 71.1% YoY to Rs 175 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 606 million a year ago. Net sales declined 97.9% to Rs 55 million during the period as against Rs 2,632 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, BF UTILITIES reported 175.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2,567 million compared to net profit of Rs 931 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 47.9% to Rs 7,591 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BF UTILITIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.0.
