Archies Plunges 5%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.9%

Archies share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 25.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,387.5 (up 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are Gillette India (down 1.0%) and P&G Hygiene (down 0.4%).

E.I.D. Parry (up 3.7%) and Ruchi Soya Industries (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Archies has moved up from Rs 25.6 to Rs 25.8, registering a gain of Rs 0.2 (up 0.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,985.7 to 21,387.5, registering a gain of 12.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 193.4%), BOM.BURMAH (up 80.2%) and E.I.D. Parry (up 64.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,434.7 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 1.5%) and HDFC Bank (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Axis Bank and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,327.8 (up 0.2%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,174.2 to 80,434.7, registering a gain of 14,260.5 points (up 21.5%).

Archies Financial Update...

Archies net profit fell 43.9% YoY to Rs 6 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 11 million a year ago. Net sales declined 9.4% to Rs 201 million during the period as against Rs 222 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Archies reported 191.6% increase in net profit to Rs 24 million compared to net loss of Rs 26 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 11.5% to Rs 860 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Archies, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -10.5.
