Abbott India share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 26,500.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 40,353.1 (up 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are POLY MEDICURE (down 2.2%) and Sanofi India (down 2.0%).

Jubilant Pharmova (up 3.1%) and METROPOLIS HEALTHCARE (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Abbott India has moved up from Rs 22,954.1 to Rs 26,500.1, registering a gain of Rs 3,546.0 (up 15.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 26,901.6 to 40,353.1, registering a gain of 50.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 101.5%), Lupin (up 98.4%) and Cadila Healthcare (up 96.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,679.7 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.0%) and Tata Steel (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,943.3 (up 0.4%). NTPC and APOLLO HOSPITALS are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,355.7 to 81,679.7, registering a gain of 15,323.9 points (up 23.1%).

Abbott India Financial Update...

Abbott India net profit grew 24.0% YoY to Rs 2,871 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,314 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.1% to Rs 14,386 million during the period as against Rs 13,431 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Abbott India reported 26.5% increase in net profit to Rs 12,012 million compared to net profit of Rs 9,494 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 9.4% to Rs 58,489 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Abbott India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 46.9.
