Abbott India share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 27,458.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 38,165.5 (down 1.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (down 6.5%) and LAURUS LABS (down 3.8%).

Jubilant Pharmova (up 1.9%) and ALEMBIC PHARMA (up 0.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Abbott India has moved up from Rs 23,152.4 to Rs 27,458.2, registering a gain of Rs 4,305.9 (up 18.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 26,443.1 to 38,165.5, registering a gain of 44.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Glenmark Pharma (up 101.1%), Lupin (up 91.4%) and Jubilant Pharmova (up 91.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,623.2 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Steel (down 5.2%) and JSW Steel (down 4.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,528.8 (down 1.1%). Tata Steel and BPCL are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 80,623.2, registering a gain of 14,033.3 points (up 21.1%).

Abbott India Financial Update...

Abbott India net profit grew 24.0% YoY to Rs 2,871 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,314 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.1% to Rs 14,386 million during the period as against Rs 13,431 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Abbott India reported 26.5% increase in net profit to Rs 12,012 million compared to net profit of Rs 9,494 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 9.4% to Rs 58,489 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Abbott India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 48.6.
