APOLLO TUBES Gains 4%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.1%

APOLLO TUBES share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,480.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,011.7 (up 1.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Vedanta (up 3.0%) and Jindal Steel (up 2.9%).

Coal India (down 0.6%) and Hindalco (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, APOLLO TUBES has moved down from Rs 1,728.9 to Rs 1,480.4, registering a loss of Rs 248.5 (down 14.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,528.2 to 32,011.7, registering a gain of 36.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 91.0%), Coal India (up 76.6%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 55.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,914.3 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (down 1.3%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,364.8 (down 0.1%). SBI LIFE INSURANCE and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,127.1 to 82,914.3, registering a gain of 15,787.3 points (up 23.5%).

APOLLO TUBES Financial Update...

APOLLO TUBES net profit fell 0.2% YoY to Rs 1,932 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,936 million a year ago. Net sales rose 9.4% to Rs 49,743 million during the period as against Rs 45,449 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, APOLLO TUBES reported 14.1% increase in net profit to Rs 7,324 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,419 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 12.1% to Rs 181,188 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of APOLLO TUBES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 56.1.
