ALEMBIC Gains 9%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.2%

ALEMBIC share price has zoomed 9% and is presently trading at Rs 163.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 42,085.2 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are AARTI DRUGS (up 7.6%) and Natco Pharma (up 5.1%).

GSK Pharma (down 4.3%) and Procter & Gamble Health (down 2.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ALEMBIC has moved up from Rs 78.8 to Rs 163.3, registering a gain of Rs 84.5 (up 107.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 28,021.8 to 42,085.2, registering a gain of 50.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were GRANULES INDIA (up 130.0%), Glenmark Pharma (up 116.4%) and GSK Pharma (up 108.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,070.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bharti Airtel (up 1.7%) and Tata Steel (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,826.3 (up 0.2%). Grasim Industries and Tata Consumer Products are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,216.1 to 81,070.5, registering a gain of 15,854.4 points (up 24.3%).

ALEMBIC Financial Update...

ALEMBIC net profit grew 74.9% YoY to Rs 174 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 100 million a year ago. Net sales rose 37.8% to Rs 508 million during the period as against Rs 368 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, ALEMBIC reported 15.2% increase in net profit to Rs 929 million compared to net profit of Rs 806 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 23.8% to Rs 1,575 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ALEMBIC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 41.8.
