AJANTA PHARMA share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 3,199.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 41,236.4 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are LAURUS LABS (up 4.6%) and ALEMBIC PHARMA (up 2.0%).

HIKAL CHEMIC (down 2.7%) and GSK Pharma (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, AJANTA PHARMA has moved up from Rs 1,728.3 to Rs 3,199.5, registering a gain of Rs 1,471.2 (up 85.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 27,819.2 to 41,236.4, registering a gain of 48.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were GRANULES INDIA (up 133.4%), SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 100.5%) and GSK Pharma (up 99.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,065.2 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Maruti Suzuki (up 1.1%) and NTPC (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,150.6 (up 0.1%). Hindalco and SBI are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,401.9 to 79,065.2, registering a gain of 13,663.3 points (up 20.9%).

AJANTA PHARMA Financial Update...

AJANTA PHARMA net profit grew 18.1% YoY to Rs 2,458 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,081 million a year ago. Net sales rose 12.1% to Rs 11,449 million during the period as against Rs 10,210 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, AJANTA PHARMA reported 38.8% increase in net profit to Rs 8,162 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,880 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 12.5% to Rs 42,087 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of AJANTA PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 46.8.
